The riding year is winding down. I didn’t do nearly as much riding as I thought I would do. House projects, family situations and daily life just get in the way.
Over the winter, I’m hoping to do a cleanup of the oil/water pump area. A few years ago, I did a clutch-pack switcheroo and, while everything still seems fine from a gear changing perspective, I’ve noticed jingly sound coming from the transmission. I just need to see for myself that everything is still in working order. Just a piece of mind thing really.
I’ll also be removing some no longer needed farkles like the trip meter connector and small led lights I have supplementing my brake lighting. Piddly stuff really. I need to also change my back brake pads at some point. Stuff is starting to squeal back there.
At the start of the season, I bought new gloves and new boots. The boot have worked out great. I can walk in them all day. The gloves, on the other hand, were a bit of a bust. They are not water proof, difficult to get on/off when you hand is wet. Recently, they’ve started to smell like old feet. I’d put them in the washer, but there is a rip need the velco that would get bigger in the washer.
